Coming up with new origami designs is something I really enjoy doing in my spare time. As well as some traditional models, I try my best to make tutorials for more unique and original designs. The word Origami is a Japanese word – 折り, which is the combination of the words Ori 折り – to fold and Kami 紙 – which means paper.

Step 9įlip the piece over, then tuck the next top point into a free seam, continue flipping and tucking for every loose top point until all points have been completed. Step 8įold the top point of the vertical piece, then tuck it into the seam of the horizontal piece. Place both pieces over each other, to form a cross. This folding is done to form a crease, so after folding, unfold. Step 6įold the bottom and top ends of each paper inwards again so as to form a diamond shape. Step 4įold the bottom and top ends of each piece in. For the right side, fold the corner in and downward.įor the second paper, on the left end, fold the corner in and downward, and for the right end, fold the corner in and upward. Step 3įor the first paper, on the left end, fold the corner in, facing upward. Now fold both papers into half horizontally so as to form a crease, then unfold. Step 1įold both papers in half, then fold them into another half again.
A printer paper or construction paper can be used. The one and only rule is it must be square-shaped.
You can as well pick any other size of paper depending on how large you want your paper ninja star to be. A 3-inch paper can give you a small ninja star, while a 6-inch paper will give you a normal-sized ninja star. The size of the paper will depend on how big you want the ninja star to be. To create this beauty, you will need two sheets of square paper. They can also be used for decorative purposes, or even as a piece of jewelry (earrings) they are also perfect to gift your little ones to attach to their costumes during costume days at school or Halloween.
